THE FUNDING MAP / GRANTS AND DEADLINES
Research Council of Norway innovation projects (IPN)
Funds R&D heavy innovation projects in companies, 12 to 48 months long, with a significant element of industrial research or experimental development. Thematic calls cover industry and services, energy and transport, oceans, food and enabling technologies. Larger than Innovation Norway's grants and suited to a hardtech company with a real research component.
Deadlines
Applications are taken continuously. There is no cut-off to plan around; decisions follow the agency's own handling time.
The 2026 IPN calls are open-ended: applications are processed continuously until the budget is used. Latest project start for the 2026 calls is 15 April 2027. Nordic partners outside Norway can take part but are not funded.
