THE FUNDING MAP / GRANTS AND DEADLINES

CLIMIT Demo

CLIMIT Demo gives grants for development, pilot and demonstration of CO2 capture, transport and storage technology. It covers feasibility studies, pilot-scale testing and semi-industrial demonstration plants. For hardtech teams building physical carbon capture and handling systems, it can pay for the expensive step of testing hardware under real industrial conditions.

Grant NO Gassnova SF (CLIMIT is run with the Research Council of Norway, which handles the separate CLIMIT R&D part)

Deadlines

Applications are taken continuously. There is no cut-off to plan around; decisions follow the agency's own handling time.

There are no deadlines, and applications are processed continuously. Typical processing time is about 2 months after formal receipt. Gassnova encourages applicants to make contact before applying, and a contact person is then appointed. An older announcements page says the application form must be in Norwegian, with appendices allowed in English. Check that this still holds. Awards are assessed on the nature of the initiative, the applicant, the need for support and fit with the programme's objectives. Do not confuse this with CLIMIT R&D, which uses Research Council calls with fixed deadlines.
