Privacy policy

Your data, plainly explained.

Luma Media AB ("we") operates nordichardtech.com and the Nordic Hardtech newsletter. This page explains what personal data we handle, why, where it lives, and what rights you have. Last updated: August 2026.

What we collect

Newsletter subscription. Your email address, with double opt-in. It is stored with our email provider Brevo (France, EU) and used only to send the newsletter. We keep it until you unsubscribe; every issue has an unsubscribe link.

Submissions. When you suggest an investor or company, submit an event, a job, a raise, or a news tip, we store what you type, including your contact email if you give one. Submissions are stored in private EU storage (Scaleway, France) and a copy goes to our mailbox. We use them only to verify and publish the suggested content. Contact details are never published unless the form explicitly asked and you said yes. Raw submissions are deleted after 12 months.

Website visits. The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. Aggregated, cookie-free visitor statistics tell us how many people visit which pages; they contain no personal profiles. Our hosting provider (Scaleway, France) keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and operations.

Email you send us. If you write to hello@nordichardtech.com, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is relevant to the conversation.

Embedded players

Podcast and article pages can embed players from Acast, Spotify and YouTube. When you interact with a player, those services process data under their own privacy policies.

Directory content

The funding map and the company directory list business information about firms: names, categories, websites and descriptions. Individual people appear only in a professional capacity, for example as a podcast guest. If something about you or your company is wrong or unwanted, email us and we will correct or remove it.

Legal bases and sharing

We process data based on your consent (newsletter, submissions) and our legitimate interest in running a secure, working service. We do not sell or trade personal data. Our processors, each under a data processing agreement: Brevo (email, France), Scaleway (hosting and storage, France), Acast (podcast hosting, Sweden).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@nordichardtech.com and we will handle it. You can also complain to the Swedish data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (imy.se), or your local authority.
