Fåhraeus Startup and Growth (FSG) is a Lund, Sweden-based venture capital fund focused on early-growth and expansion-stage life science and tech companies across the Nordics, with investments spanning MedTech, diagnostics, pharma, and deep tech.
Christoffer Melchior
Christoffer Melchior is a Copenhagen-based business angel and DanBAN lead angel focused on medtech and healthtech startups. He personally invested in NDURE, a Danish wearable continuous lactate tracker for athletes.
Icebreaker VC
Icebreaker.vc is a Helsinki-based early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2017 that invests in idea-stage and pre-seed teams in Finland, Sweden and Estonia, with first tickets up to €1.5M. The firm has supported over 100 teams since inception and its second fund is backed by the European Union's InnovFin Equity programme under Horizon 2020 and EFSI.
Ericsson Ventures
Ericsson Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Ericsson, deploying capital directly from Ericsson's balance sheet (not raising from external LPs) to back startups strategically relevant to its wireless/network infrastructure business, with operations spanning Stockholm/Kista, Sweden and Santa Clara/Palo Alto, California, New York, Beijing and Barcelona. It focuses on next-generation networking, IoT, AI/ML for network automation, edge/cloud-native infrastructure, cybersecurity for connected devices, and next-generation wireless hardware, investing mostly at Series A/B alongside occasional seed extensions.

Connect Sverige is a Swedish non-profit that connects entrepreneurs with capital, expertise, and networks through five regional organisations, running growth programs like Språngbrädan and operating what it describes as Sweden's largest active network of business angels.
Nordic Alpha Partners
Nordic Alpha Partners is a Copenhagen based industrial greentech growth fund investing across two funds worth roughly 400 million EUR since 2017. It uses an operational value creation toolkit to scale portfolio companies in energy transition, agriculture, building and construction, industrial process innovation, circular economy and waste, and water and wastewater.
Snö Ventures
SNÖ Ventures is an Oslo-based early-stage VC investing in Nordic founders across software, gaming and consumer tech, with Peter Thiel as a strategic partner in its USD 100 million fund. Its one hardtech position is Nordic Air Defence, a drone interceptor maker it backed in 2024.
Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is the EU's flagship research and innovation funding programme (2021-2027, ~€93.5B budget), whose EIC Accelerator and EIC Fund provide blended grant/equity financing to deep-tech and hardtech startups and SMEs across the EU and associated countries, including recurring Nordic recipients (e.g., Swedish and Danish EIC Accelerator winners) and EIC info-day activity in the Nordics (e.g. Copenhagen). Because it funds via competitive, rolling calls with only partial per-round public disclosure, no single exhaustive portfolio list exists; qualifies as a Public Funding instrument rather than a conventional VC.
Lifeline Ventures
Lifeline Ventures is a Helsinki-based, sector-agnostic early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2009. It invests from pre-seed through growth stages across deeptech, climate, health and consumer sectors, and closed a 400 million euro sixth fund in 2025 to keep backing founders from first check through scale.
Sandwater
Sandwater is an Oslo based venture capital firm investing in early stage companies developing novel solutions in climate, energy and healthcare.
Aventry Equity
Aventry Equity is a Jönköping, Sweden-based investment firm backing Nordic growth companies across industrial equipment, additive manufacturing, retail/design products and fintech, emphasizing long-term partnerships and sustainable value creation alongside capital.
SINTEF Venture
Corporate venture capital arm of SINTEF, one of Europe's largest independent research organizations. Commercializes IP and spins out deep tech ventures from SINTEF and NTNU research, investing through successive seed and early-stage funds (SINTEF Venture III through VI).
